About Me

I am a junior at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a major in Advertising and Public Relations. I was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, but primarily raised in Omaha, with three years spent living in Arlington, Texas. I originally came to UNL wanting to major in Marketing but made the switch to ADPR for a more creative approach. I am the oldest of 5 in my family and I am also the oldest cousin on both sides of my family! My top 5 Clifton Strengths are Empathy, Adaptability, Positivity, Harmony, and Woo.

Career Goals

I have had many career aspirations and goals throughout my life. I originally came to college with a desire to major in Marketing but I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted to do. I am now majoring in Advertising and Public Relations and want to go into community outreach. I would love to work in the medical industry advocating for people who need extra support or the construction industry working with non profits or crisis control. I have interned with a major construction company in Omaha, Turner Construction, and also a chiropractor rehabilitation office in Omaha, BodyKinetix. My dream career would be to go to law school and become an immigration lawyer to support underrepresented communities.

This Semester

  • I am taking 15 credit hours. My classes are Design Thinking, Visual Communications Modules one and two, Criminal Justice Statistics, Power and Politics in America, Fundamentals of Editing and Reporting, and Social Justice, Human Rights, and the Media.
  • My favorite class this semester is Social Justice, Human Rights, and the Media
  • I currently work as a leasing consultant for 8N Lofts apartments, and an events clerk for Of the Earth Florals.

Hobbies

Hobbies have consumed my life recently. I am a chronic “hobby starter”. My favorite hobbies currently are needlepointing, reading, embroidery, and creative writing. I also am big into fitness. You can always find me at a pilates or yoga class, running, or walking outdoors. I also love to support my friends and family and attend their events in my free time!
